Working with MRC
Along with providing our clients with the best support available, we also endeavor to make the process of working with us as efficient, pleasant, and supportive as possible — we want to be an integral part of your team.
Our consultants will initiate a weekly review with a designated member of your healthcare team each week to discuss your skilled Medicare patients. During this weekly review with your healthcare team, we will collaborate to determine if the patient continues to meet Medicare Part A guidelines to continue covered care, or if they need to be given a Medicare Notice of Non-Coverage. If a patient’s status changes throughout the week, we highly encourage your facility to call us to make an extended care determination.
For each skilled patient, MRC will complete an abstract weekly and upon each review. At the end of the patient’s Medicare coverage, our abstracts will be mailed to your facility to become a permanent part of the patient’s chart.
Ongoing Education
or Why Your Nursing Staff Appreciates Our Help
Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable consultants are waiting to answer staff's questions. We are happy to answer any questions relating to Medicare by members of your staff as questions arise at their convenience. We also available to discuss MDS scheduling, Consolidated Billing, and RUG IV classifications. Being able to share our knowledge to facilitate healthcare delivery is something we enjoy bringing to our clients.
Physician Peer Review
Our physicians review Inpatient, Emergency Department, and Office Visit charts. The review process is usually completed within two weeks of the receipt of the patient’s charts. Our physicians review the charts and fill out the appropriate form(s) with abstract and recommendations on charting and the care provided to the patient. Each physician is available for phone discussion of their review, if needed, after your review of their results. MRC's rates are extremely competitive for this service as with all of our services.
RAC Consulting
RAC consulting is billed on a per hour rate, please call to discuss this rate.
Cost & Billing
Call to discuss our highly competitive and exceptionally stable rate structure.
A low retainer fee will be charged to your facility each month, which covers any number of calls from your facility. This allows your staff to not be concerned with cost in ongoing patient management and is a key aspect of how we endeavor to become a valued member of your healthcare and business teams.
At the end of each month, an abstract of each patient that was removed from Medicare during the prior billing period will be provided to your facility. This report adds a small per-patient fee to the facility retainer fee.
